Jos van Helvoort is a senior lecturer at the Bachelor of ICT (Faculty IT&Design). His PhD thesis (2016) was on assessment of information literacy skills. Jos teaches on topics like information literacy (also mentioned Information Problem Solving) in the Bachelor of ICT and Research Methods in the European Project Semester (minor in the Bachelor of ICT) and he is a member of the Curriculum Board and the Examination Committee of the Bachelor of ICT. He is also a member of the standing committee of the European Conference on Information Literacy.His research is focused on information and media literacy in educational programs. In his current project he collaborates with the J.H. Snijdersschool, a primary school in Rijswijk, the national Royal Library in The Hague and the centre of expertise Mediawijzer.net.
